"Emirates Health" Launches axis "Long healthy life" During the World Health Expo

Dubai, 8 February / WAM / During its participation in the World Health Exhibition – Dubai 2026, which begins tomorrow, the Emirates Health Services Corporation launches the “Long Healthy Life” axis, which is one of the most prominent axes of its strategic participation, and constitutes an advanced national framework for redefining the concept of healthy aging, by integrating genetic sciences, regenerative medicine, and artificial intelligence technologies into a proactive, data-based system that is consistent with the country’s goals in quality of life and preventive health.

His Excellency Dr. Issam Al Zarouni, Executive Director of the Medical Services Sector at the Foundation, confirmed that the “Long Healthy Life” axis represents a strategic shift in the way health services are planned at the national level. He said: “Our goal is to deal with aging as an integrated health file, starting with early prevention, extending to risk management before the disease appears, and reaching the preservation of independence and quality of life in the advanced stages of life. This axis establishes a health system that anticipates disease with knowledge and data, and transforms genomics and artificial intelligence from research tools into Practical foundations for designing health policies and clinical services.

Dr. Nour Al Muhairi, Director of the Mental Health Department and Head of the Foundation’s Visiting Doctors Office, explained that the concept of a long healthy life goes beyond physical indicators to include psychological balance by maintaining functional ability and independence in the elderly. She explained that the design of this axis stems from a comprehensive understanding of human health. It is not possible to talk about a long healthy life without stable psychological health, preserved mental ability, and a continuous sense of health security.

She added that smart assessment models allow early tracking of functional and psychological changes, allowing for preventive interventions that enhance human health and improve their quality of life.

In turn, Dr. Karima Al-Raisi, Director of the Primary Health Care Department at the Corporation, stated that the “Long Healthy Life” axis comes within an integrated strategic direction to develop primary health care business models, reflecting its transition towards a more advanced and proactive system, capable of keeping pace with the future needs of society, and enhancing health sustainability through long-term planning, and in line with the country’s priorities in quality of life.

The “Long Healthy Life” axis includes a package of advanced initiatives, including the “Reassurance” program, genome analysis, health risk assessment, and determining biological age using artificial intelligence, in addition to an innovative research path in the field of gene editing for organ transplantation as a next-generation regenerative solution.

The scientific vision for this axis is based on determining biological age, not actual age, and analyzing the changes associated with it, using smart tools for electrocardiography, estimating retinal age, measuring inflammatory factors, and analyzing walking and movement, to predict early risks of chronic diseases and develop customized preventive strategies.

Within this axis, the Foundation highlights the “Reassurance” program, which is one of the national pillars of preventive health and longevity and aims to enhance health safety in individuals by moving from curative care to proactive predictive care.

In its first phase, the program includes a smart system to monitor vital health indicators on a regular basis, supported by data analysis and artificial intelligence to early detect risks and provide personalized preventive recommendations, in addition to preparing individual health plans and a unified family plan that promotes healthy lifestyles and the prevention of chronic diseases.

The “Long Healthy Life” axis reflects an advanced model in designing future health policies, based on increasing years of health, and consolidating the concept of smart prevention based on advanced science and data, which enhances the UAE’s readiness for the requirements of healthy aging, and consolidates the position of the Emirates Health Services Corporation in a leadership position in the region in developing innovative models for longevity and quality of life.
