The Ministry of Family organizes a group wedding as part of the Sheikh Zayed Festival activities
ABU DHABI, 8 February / WAM / The Ministry of Family organized a group wedding as part of the activities of the Sheikh Zayed Festival in the Al Wathba area in Abu Dhabi, with the participation of 50 young men and women from various emirates of the country, sponsored by Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, within the framework of a community partnership aimed at supporting young people about to get married and enhancing family stability.
Organizing the mass wedding comes within the Ministry’s efforts, which aim to consolidate the values of community cohesion and solidarity, reduce the financial burdens on young people, and promote the culture of mass weddings as an upscale social option that reflects the authentic Emirati identity and contributes to building stable families that constitute the first building block of a balanced and prosperous society, in line with the objectives of the “National Agenda for Family Growth 2031.”
The newlyweds expressed their happiness and joy at this national initiative, stressing their deep appreciation for the Ministry of Family for its continued efforts to support young people about to get married to establish stable families, which reflects its keenness to enhance community cohesion and consolidate authentic Emirati family values in conjunction with the “Year of the Family.”
These mass weddings reflect the Ministry of Family’s firm commitment to supporting young people about to get married, and enhancing the pivotal role of the family as a fundamental pillar in the country’s sustainable development process, in addition to supporting innovative and feasible models for celebrating social occasions, while preserving the Emirati identity, and establishing a positive and conscious image around the concept of mass weddings as an upscale societal option that stimulates youth, enhances national unity, and contributes to the cohesion of the social fabric, which forms the basis of the strength and prosperity of the UAE.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Family organized a series of mass weddings during the year 2025, including the wedding that was organized last December, in the Al-Waqan and Al-Qua areas, with the participation of more than 100 young men and women from the country.
