"Abu Dhabi Ports" It won 8 awards in the 11th session of the International Best Practices Award

Abu Dhabi, 9 February / WAM / Abu Dhabi Ports Group received remarkable honors in the 11th session of the International Best Practices Award, organized by the Center for Organizational Excellence Research (COER), where it won 8 awards in four categories and 18 best practices, including four practices that received a rating of six or seven stars, the highest in the evaluation range of these competitions, while the honor indicates the group’s continuous commitment to excellence, innovation and continuous improvement in all its work.

The categories in which the group participated and won awards represent 18 best practices for its business units and sectors, which reflects the strength of the performance of the group’s subsidiaries and their compliance with international standards of excellence.

The winners of the International Best Practices Award were announced during an event hosted by Abu Dhabi Ports Group at Kizad Group’s headquarters, which brought together specialists and organizations from different sectors to celebrate excellence and share successful best practices. The event also provided a platform for learning, setting standards and dialogue on how best-in-class practices can drive performance, sustainability and organizational flexibility.

The 11th edition of the awards was characterized by strong competition, which saw 62 institutions from 14 countries submitting 112 of their best practices, which were subjected to a rigorous evaluation by a specialized committee that included 65 international experts.

The practices presented by Abu Dhabi Ports Group were distinguished from others by their elements of innovation, the ability to measure impact, and their compatibility with international best practice frameworks.

Iman Al-Khalaqi, Senior Vice President – Innovation Management, Abu Dhabi Ports Group, said that the group’s best practices go beyond the scope of operational operations, as they are a fundamental pillar of its administrative and operational excellence, pointing out that pioneering initiatives such as the “Tawfeer” committee, which enhances efficiency and achieve optimal value, and the “IntelliOps” platform, which enhances real-time management of assets, embody the group’s approach in transforming innovation into tangible and sustainable results.

She added that these awards reflect the group’s ability to align its strategic priorities with efficient implementation, enhance cooperation between its multiple business sectors, and provide sustainable value to stakeholders, noting that by continuing to improve its practices, Abu Dhabi Ports Group is not only enhancing its operational excellence, but is also setting new standards to be emulated in the sector.

The group’s commitment to excellence was embodied by winning the following awards: the improvement initiatives category (rating: seven stars), the asset management category (rating: six stars), the supplier relations and partnerships category (rating: six stars), and the strategic planning category (rating: six stars).

The Pioneers of Excellence Awards also included the highest number of practices rated six stars or higher – Abu Dhabi Ports Group (4 practices), the highest number of practices rated five stars or higher – Abu Dhabi Ports Group “11 practices”, the highest number of practices rated four stars or higher – Abu Dhabi Ports Group “15 practices”, in addition to the Certificate of Excellence in Best Global Practices “2025” – Abu Dhabi Ports Group – honoring 11 practices rated five stars. The 18 practices honored covered advanced operational areas and digital transformation efforts such as: real-time asset optimization, central planning excellence, improved ship movement services, and transformational sustainability solutions that included eco-seawall panels, an electric vehicle fleet, and advanced coating technologies for ship hulls.
