Minister of Transport: We aim to raise the local content to 70% by 2030
Minister of Transport and Logistics Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser: Since the launch of the national strategy in 2020, the level of local content has increased from 39% to 57%, and the target is 70% in 2030.
He added during a dialogue session in the fourth edition of the Public Investment Fund and the Private Sector Forum, that achieving these goals is in partnership with the Ministry of Industry, the Local Content Authority, the Emiratisation Office, and the Ministry of Investment.
Investment Opportunities
He noted the existence of many opportunities in which the Ministry integrates with other entities, Whether in the field of railway transport, roads, maritime transport, etc., to deepen the level of local content.
He noted the deepening of the partnership with the private sector, bringing its investment role to 80% through privatization, franchising, and other models.
