المملكة: The Ministry of Defense signs 28 contracts with local and international companies at the World Defense Exhibition

Concluded The Ministry of Defense, today, signed 28 contracts with local and international companies specialized in military industries, during the activities of the World Defense Exhibition held in the capital, Riyadh.

The Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs, Dr. Khalid bin Hussein Al-Biyari, signed four contracts with the CEOs of the French company MBDA, the Saudi Arabian Raytheon Company, the Korean Hanwha Aerospace Company, and the Italian Leonardo Company.

The Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs also witnessed the signing ceremony of eight contracts, signed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense for Procurement and Armaments, Ibrahim bin Ahmed Al-Suwaid, with the CEOs of local, French, Turkish, Korean, and Italian companies.

The signed contracts included sixteen contracts signed by the executive general directors of the Ministry of Defense Procurement and Armaments Agency with representatives of the companies.

The contracts concluded were aimed at, raising the level of military readiness of the branches of the armed forces, enhancing their capabilities, raising their combat efficiency, and sustaining the systems, in addition to contributing to supporting and localizing local manufacturing in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which is to localize more than 50% of spending on military equipment and services.
