In the Indian Ocean.. The Pentagon announces the detention of a ship that escaped the Caribbean embargo

The Pentagon announced that US forces detained an oil tanker in The Indian Ocean after violating the embargo imposed by President Donald Trump on ships in The Caribbean and its escape from this region.
The US Department of Defense said on Monday, "The American forces detained the ship after announcing via the "She had violated President Trump’s ban on sanctioned ships in the Caribbean, and had fled before being pursued."
She accompanied her post with a video clip showing American soldiers boarding a helicopter, then descending using ropes until they reached the deck of the tanker.
The Eighth Ship
The Aquila 2 is the eighth ship that Washington has seized since Donald Trump ordered the imposition of this embargo targeting Venezuela.
It is the second ship that the Americans have detained outside the region, after the interception of an oil tanker linked to Russia in the North Atlantic at the beginning of January.
Washington has strengthened its military deployment in the Caribbean, which made it possible to target boats accused of drug smuggling, intercept sanctioned oil tankers, and arrest former Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
But the ships seized in recent months constitute only a small part of the total number of ships subject to sanctions and active globally.
Admiral David Barata stated during a hearing in the US Congress at the beginning of February that the total number may reach 800 ships.
