The Mohammed bin Khalid Cultural Center enriches February with activities that promote Emirati values


Al Ain, February 10 / WAM / During the first week of this February, the Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural Center organized a series of events and workshops that embody the vision of the UAE in consolidating the national identity and promoting a culture of giving and responsible citizenship, under the directives of Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural and Educational Institutions.
The center, in cooperation with Al Ain Municipality, participated in the “Al Ain Flower Festival 2026” through the “Zayed’s Craftsmanship Legacy” program, offering various heritage workshops that included oysters, pearls and talli, which witnessed a remarkable interaction from visitors due to their cultural and historical value.
The Center also implemented the “Shamma Mohammed Environmental Education” program through visits to a number of schools in the Al Ain area, where “Friends of Nature” and “Friends of Sustainability” workshops were organized with the aim of consolidating the concepts of environmental protection and sustainability among students.
In the context of spreading the culture of volunteer work, the Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Volunteer Program organized an awareness session entitled “Volunteering is a Value and a Responsibility” at the Emirates National School, to enhance the spirit of initiative and community participation.
The “Zayed Heritage and Crafts Legacy” program continued its activity with field visits to a number of schools, offering workshops that shed light on authentic Emirati customs and traditions, while the Higher Colleges of Technology hosted a lecture entitled “Community Service and Humanitarian Work” within the “Khalq” initiative, in addition to organizing the “Ageing Challenge” initiative in cooperation with the Family Development Foundation, which addressed the role of the family in home care for the elderly.
The Center concluded the first week with the “Haq Al Laila” event, organized by the “Smile” initiative, which witnessed the distribution of gifts to students in a festive atmosphere that reflected pride in the UAE’s heritage and its inherent values, within the framework of the Center’s policy aimed at supporting society, promoting national values, and consolidating the role of culture in building humanity and sustaining development.
