Declared The Heritage Authority today, Monday, announced that it has encoded 4,000 Urban heritage, in a step that enhances the protection of sites and keeps their stories present.
She explained through her account on the platform "X" Coding is the final stage in registering urban heritage sites, where a plate bearing a quick response code (QR Code) is installed that identifies the site and links it to the urban heritage register.
She stressed that this step means:
- Documentation (official national registration and classification of the site).
- Protection (ensuring the site’s sustainability through the Antiquities and Urban Heritage System).

The authority affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, in partnership with the Center King Faisal Institute for Research and Islamic Studies, academics and researchers to provide original scientific contributions that culminate in their inclusion in a peer-reviewed book dedicated to "Darb Zubaida"One of the most important historical Hajj paths in the Islamic world.
This research movement, supported by financial grants and field support, aims to deepen knowledge of the historical development of the path, and analyze its material effects, environmental context, and contemporary challenges associated with it, within a broader initiative to document, interpret and preserve Hajj paths.
