Dubai South’s air traffic will grow by 17% in 2025

Dubai, 11 February / WAM / The Mohammed bin Rashid Aviation Project, in Dubai South, recorded 20,289 private aircraft flights during the year 2025, a growth of 17% compared to 2024, thus recording the highest level of private aircraft movement in the history of the Emirate of Dubai.
The last quarter of 2025 witnessed an exceptional performance, with 6,926 flights recorded, achieving an annual growth of 18% compared to the same period in 2024, which reflects the continued strong demand and rising momentum in the private aviation sector.
This sustainable growth is attributed to several key factors, most notably Dubai’s position as a year-round global center for business, exhibitions, tourism and entertainment, in addition to the successful hosting of major events such as the Dubai Airshow 2025, GITEX Global, the World Government Summit, and other international events.
This momentum is complemented by tourism sector indicators, as data from the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai showed that the emirate received 19.59 million international visitors during the year 2025, a growth of 5% compared to 2024.
His Excellency Khalifa Al Zaffin, CEO of the Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South, said that this record growth in private aviation traffic reflects the continuing development of Dubai as a global hub for aviation, trade and tourism, stressing that Dubai South continues to work on developing an integrated system ready for the future that supports long-term demand, provides smooth operations, and enhances its role in achieving the vision of the wise leadership to consolidate Dubai’s position as a global aviation capital.
