المملكة: Umm Al-Qura University celebrates the graduation of more than 12,000 male and female students in its 74th batch

Under the patronage of the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of the Holy Makkah Region, His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and in honor of his deputy, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, it celebrated Umm Al-Qura University graduated the seventy-fourth batch of its male and female students for the academic year 1447 AH, numbering 12,649 male and female graduates from various specializations and academic degrees, in the King Saud Hall in the university city in Al-Abdiya.

The ceremony began with a speech by the President UniversityProf. Maadi bin Muhammad Al Madhab; Through it, he welcomed His Highness’s generous honor for this occasion, and through it he extended the highest expressions of thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, preserved by King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect them – for their continued support for the path of higher education, congratulating the male and female graduates on this achievement that expresses their determination and ambition. Emphasizing the continuation of Umm Al-Qura University in performing its scientific and national mission.

The graduate student, Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Maliki, also delivered a speech; In it, he expressed, on his own behalf and on behalf of his fellow graduates, their joy in reaching this happy moment and achieving the ambitions they sought during their years of study, offering thanks to Umm Al-Qura University and its academic and administrative staff for the rich scientific and knowledge experience they provided.

For his part, His Excellency the Dean of the Deanship of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Khaled bin Thamer Al-Thaqafi, awarded degrees to graduates, noting the number of male and female graduates, explaining that the number of male graduates reached 4,886, while the number of female graduates reached 7,763. The male and female graduates were distributed as follows: 8,520 obtained bachelor’s degrees, 831 obtained master’s degrees, while 182 graduates obtained doctoral degrees, in addition to 3,054 graduates from diploma programs, and 62 graduates from higher diploma programs.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, students from health colleges took the “Oath of Honor of the Profession” behind the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Ahmed Mufti, as an expression of their professional commitment towards community service and advancement in the health sector.

His Royal Highness, Deputy Emir of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, honored the team of Umm Al-Qura University female students who invented the small satellite. "skyline" And the winners of the Sari competition launched by the Saudi Space Agency. His Highness also honored the sponsors of the ceremony.
