Memorandum of understanding between Sharjah Sports Club and"Pioneers" To support sports entrepreneurship
Sharjah, February 11, 2017 – Sharjah Sports Club signed today at its headquarters a memorandum of understanding with the Sharjah Foundation to support entrepreneurial projects “Ruwad” affiliated with the Sharjah Economic Development Department, in a step aimed at enhancing joint cooperation and supporting the culture of entrepreneurship and innovation in the sports community.
The memorandum was signed in the presence of Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Chairman of the Department of Economic Development, and Muhammad Jumaa bin Hindi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Sports Club, along with a number of officials from both sides.
The memorandum of understanding aims to build a strategic partnership that contributes to enabling entrepreneurs to benefit from the opportunities available in the sports sector, in addition to supporting small and medium enterprises related to sports activities and organizing introductory events and workshops that highlight the importance of innovation and investment in the sports field.
Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud stressed that the signing of the “Ruwad” Foundation of the memorandum of understanding with the Sharjah Sports Club represents an important step within the framework of the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to support and empower entrepreneurs and open new fields for them to benefit from the opportunities available in the sports sector.
He said: The Foundation is also keen to provide real marketing and investment opportunities for entrepreneurs, and this memorandum will give our projects a wider space to display their products and services within the club facilities and during sporting events, which will contribute to enhancing the growth of their businesses and expanding their customer base.
For his part, Engineer Ibrahim Mohammed Al Jarwan, member of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Sports Club and Chairman of the Commercial Investment and Development Company, explained that signing the memorandum of understanding is an important strategic step to enhance sustainable community and development partnerships, and it stems from their belief in the importance of supporting and empowering entrepreneurs by providing quality marketing and investment opportunities within the club, which contributes to transforming entrepreneurial ideas into effective and influential projects on the ground.
The memorandum also includes cooperation in various fields, including exchanging experiences and providing marketing opportunities for entrepreneurs during sporting events, in addition to launching joint initiatives that contribute to supporting the business environment and enhancing the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation.
