The Director of the Supervision Department at the Ministry of Commerce branch in Al-Baha region, Ahmed bin Ali Al-Ghamdi, explained that the supervisory teams intensified their field visits to commercial centers, markets, and catering establishments; To ensure the availability of basic commodities, monitor prices, and verify compliance with consumer protection systems.

He indicated that the number of supervisory visits carried out during the last period amounted to (448), which resulted in the arrest of (49) violations, which were dealt with in accordance with the approved regulations and instructions, stressing the continuation of the monitoring campaigns during the coming days; To ensure commercial establishments’ compliance with regulations, and to prevent any practices that may harm consumers.

Commercial Violations

Al-Ghamdi called on consumers to report any observations or commercial violations via the application "Commercial report"or through the Unified Communications Center (1900); In a way that contributes to enhancing transparency and protecting consumer rights.

These efforts come within the framework of the Ministry of Commerce’s keenness to strengthen field supervision and raise the level of compliance in the markets. This ensures the provision of goods with appropriate quality and fair prices, to meet the needs of consumers during the holy month of Ramadan.
