After about 5 years of disagreements that reached the point of estrangement, the relationship between the artist Yasmine Abdel Aziz and her brother Wael Abdel Aziz has returned to its path again, to be crowned by their cooperation in the “Ramadan 2026” season through the series “We Forget What Was,” scheduled to be shown within the “MBC Misr” drama map.

“Wael Abdel Aziz” appears in the work as the character “Ahmed”, and most of his scenes bring him together with the artist “Sherine Reda”, who enters into a dispute with “Jalila Raslan”, the character played by Yasmine Abdel Aziz, and the events reach chases, which gives his presence a dimension of excitement, suspense and mystery.

In his first comment after the reconciliation, Wael published the promotional poster for his character on Instagram and wrote, “We trust in you, Karim,” in reference to his artistic return after an absence of nearly 5 years since the series “Breakthrough 2,” which was shown in 2021.

The series is written by “Amr Mahmoud Yassin,” directed by “Mohamed Al-Khabiri,” and starring “Yasmine Abdel Aziz,” “Karim Fahmy,” and “Sherine Reda,” along with “Menna Fadali,” “Khaled Sarhan,” “Edward,” “Mohamed Lotfy,” “Mahmoud Hafez,” “Mena Arafa,” “Laila Ezz Al-Arab,” “Mahmoud Azab,” “Omar Sharqi,” and “Asmaa Suleiman.” And Jehan Khairy and others.

The story revolves around Jalila Raslan, who becomes a target at the peak of her stardom before Badr, a former martial arts player, is assigned to protect her. As the danger escalates, the mission turns into a desire to survive, and the relationship turns into an emotional path in the midst of an open confrontation.

The estrangement began in the first half of 2020, shortly before the announcement of Yasmine Abdel Aziz’s marriage to Ahmed Al-Awadi, after her brother attacked her on Facebook, which led to tension that extended for years before he later sought reconciliation while admitting his mistakes and taking responsibility.
