المملكة: With 3 main axes…an integrated operational plan for the Ramadan season in the Two Holy Mosques

The General Authority for the Affairs of The Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque have completed their operational and technical preparations for the The Two Holy Mosques, and enriching the spiritual experience of the guests of God; In order to achieve the expected operational results in the Two Holy Mosques and ensure their continuity during peak times, raise the quality and speed of decision-making, enhance operational flexibility, and the efficiency of operational compliance with the services provided to visitors, worshipers and pilgrims.
The authority confirmed that the plan is proceeding according to specific spatial scopes, as in the Grand Mosque: the Saudi corridor, the courtyard, the Masa’a, the external courtyards, the second Saudi expansion, the third Saudi expansion, the services building, the restroom complexes, and in the Prophet’s Mosque: the mosque. And its squares and facilities, in addition to the roof of the Prophet’s Mosque.
Specific and Enrichment Projects
The Authority is basing its operational plan for this season on a package of new qualitative and enrichment projects, to enhance the quality of services, raise operating efficiency, and achieve the highest standards of safety and reliability in the Two Holy Mosques, through the most prominent new and developed initiatives: activating three-dimensional interactive maps in the Two Holy Mosques to facilitate visitors’ access to facilities and paths with ease, and launching a service to transport the elderly from transportation stations to ensure their comfort. And ease of movement, and activating visitor counting systems through sensors and digital sensors that contribute to providing accurate data that supports optimal organization and crowd management.
As well as activating visitor satisfaction measuring devices to monitor the level of satisfaction and improving services continuously, in addition to developing and operating interactive guidance screens inside the Grand Mosque and its courtyards, which provide guidance services in five languages.
It also includes launching an updated version of the worshiper’s guide with comprehensive content and interactive technologies, and operating the Engineering Center for Leadership in the Two Holy Mosques to follow up Operational operations and raising the efficiency of field response, enhancing spatial guidance through foot teams using simultaneous translation, facilitating the identification of locations by numbering doors inside the Grand Mosque, in addition to activating the “Monitor Reports” service to enhance the speed of response to observations and suggestions.
Efficiency of air conditioning and lighting systems
The Authority worked to raise the reliability of the electricity and energy system, enhance the efficiency of air conditioning and lighting systems, and ensure the high readiness of escalators and electric elevators, in addition to monitoring the readiness of The audio system in the Two Holy Mosques.
Plans for periodic maintenance and continuous follow-up were also activated, improving bathrooms, and raising the efficiency of cleaning, sterilization and environmental protection work, in order to achieve the highest standards of safety and sustainability.
The plan included developing and raising the readiness of a number of operational services, most notably the governance of iftar travel in integration with the national platform “Ehsan”, taking care of hygiene work by improving supply and distribution mechanisms, and enhancing community awareness of reducing food waste. It also included developing Zamzam watering system, carpet services, carts, doors, and toilets.
The authority developed the luggage storage service, and introduced new solutions within guest care centers, unifying work mechanisms between Mecca and Medina, and operating children’s hospitality centers in the Two Holy Mosques to provide a supportive educational experience for families, in addition to developing the volunteer platform and raising its operational readiness.
Enhancing spatial guidance
In the crowd management aspect, it focused The plan is to enhance spatial guidance through foot teams, using simultaneous translation devices, organizing corridors, chapels, and squares, and facilitating movement through information signs and guidance systems.
The plan also focused on improving the i’tikaf experience by raising the efficiency of organization and operation and creating the appropriate environment for those in i’tikaf.
In addition to the enrichment services, the Authority operated the Architecture of the Two Holy Mosques exhibition, which highlights the historical and architectural depth of the Two Holy Mosques, in addition to activating qualitative programs. The enrichment and knowledge dimension of the guests of God is enhanced through libraries, the King Abdul Aziz Complex for manufacturing the covering of the Holy Kaaba, providing the Qur’an, enhancing the role of volunteerism, improving the experience of seclusion and devotion, and children’s hospitality centers to enrich the pilgrims’ journey in a way that enhances the quality of the spiritual experience for visitors to the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.
Taking into account peak times
The authority confirmed that its operational plan for this year’s Ramadan season It takes into account peak times, and operates at maximum operational and capacity capacity, through qualified human staff and accumulated operational experience, and in integration with relevant authorities, to achieve the highest quality standards in the management and operation of facilities.
The Authority renewed its commitment to providing the best services to the guests of God, in implementation of the directives of the wise leadership – may God protect them – in caring for the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors, and raising the efficiency of the services provided and developing them to keep pace with the increasing numbers of pilgrims and worshippers, and contribute to enriching Their faith experience during the holy month of Ramadan.
