An international forum adopts the platform of the Union of Arab Creators "IPV" To protect intellectual property digitally

Dubai, February 15 / WAM / The United Nations World Data Forum adopted the Arab Innovators Union platform for protecting intellectual property in the digital space (IPV (Intellectual Property Verification).
Dr. Ahmed Nour, President of the Union of Arab Creators and President of the Union of Arab Media Professionals, said that the adoption of the platform within this international event represents “a qualitative shift in the path of intellectual property protection at the Arab and international levels,” noting that the accelerating digital transformation has imposed unprecedented challenges on content creators in light of the increasing cases of piracy, plagiarism, and re-publishing works without permission or documentation.
He explained that the platform relies on advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and digital records (Blockchain) technologies, which allows tracking content and verifying its source and authenticity, and provides a safer and more transparent digital environment for creators, media and cultural institutions.
He added that the initiative is not limited to documentation only, but seeks to build an integrated system that enhances confidence in data and content in line with international trends towards rational and responsible digital governance. The announcement came within the commitments adopted on the forum’s international pledges platform for digital transformation, as the platform provides an integrated technical model aimed at documenting creative works digitally through modern verification mechanisms that include electronic registration, non-amendable time stamping, and issuing approved digital verification certificates that contribute to proving ownership and protecting rights in the digital environment.
The platform is scheduled to begin its operational phase according to a gradual plan that includes awareness campaigns for creators and institutions, and strategic partnerships with academic, media, and technical bodies, ensuring wider spread and international accreditation that enhances the status of content in the global digital environment.
