The implementation of the exercise was the culmination of the preparatory workshop that the center recently completed; As part of its ongoing efforts to raise the level of readiness in dealing with weather phenomena, and to enhance integration and joint coordination with the relevant authorities in building and planning the exercise to ensure optimal preparation for the season.

Using the latest technologies

The exercise was based on simulation using the latest technologies within a virtual environment, simulating the reality of a weather condition affecting the Holy Sites and Medina.

He highlighted the center’s role within the emergency plan, verifying the readiness of communication channels, and ensuring that reports and early warnings are sent in a timely manner, in order to support taking action. The decision enhances the safety of lives and property.

The exercise concluded with a number of recommendations, the most prominent of which are: emphasizing the importance of periodically testing the compatibility and alternatives of communication channels to ensure that warnings reach beneficiaries without interruption, in addition to continuing to raise the maximum levels of readiness and preparation for the blessed Ramadan season.
