"Furjan Dubai" Organize an initiative "The small freej dealer"

DUBAI, 16 FEBRUARY / WAM / The “Furjan Dubai” Foundation organized the “Little Freezer Merchant” initiative as part of the activities of the fourth session of the Al Furjan Festival, on the 14 and 15 of this February in Mushrif National Park, with the support of the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai and the Dubai Municipality, and with the participation of 33 projects presented by 62 children from the Emirate of Dubai.
The organization of the initiative comes in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, to expand the implementation of initiatives aimed at promoting entrepreneurship among children, and consolidating the values of cooperation and community communication, in a way that embodies the values of the Emirate of Dubai as a cohesive society and one family.
The inclusion of the initiative within the Al Furjan Festival constitutes the first activities of the “Little Freej Merchant”, which was recently launched under a cooperation agreement between Dubai Municipality, the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, and the “Furjan Dubai” Foundation, as the Foundation is responsible for organizing the initiative’s activities with the aim of spreading the culture of entrepreneurship among children in various Al Furjan.
The “Little Freej Merchant” initiative gave participating children the opportunity to present their products and creative ideas to the Al Furjan Festival audience, within a realistic experience that enabled them to manage their small projects themselves, starting from displaying and promoting the products, all the way to direct interaction with visitors and organizing sales.
The participating projects varied between home-cooked food, handicrafts, accessories, and artistic products, which reflected the extent of the creativity and enthusiasm of the children, and the extent to which they benefited from the supportive environment provided by the initiative to hone their entrepreneurial skills.
The initiative also witnessed a wide interaction from families who were keen to support and encourage their children, in a scene that reflects the spirit of one village, consolidates the concept of good neighbors, strengthens the bonds of community cohesion, and highlights the role of residential neighborhoods as an incubator for discovering emerging energies and developing them within a safe and stimulating environment.
Alia Al Shamlan, Director of Furjan Dubai, confirmed on this occasion that the “Little Freej Merchant” initiative translates the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in preparing an emerging generation that possesses the tools of the future and is able to transform their ideas into realistic projects that contribute to supporting the development of society and the national economy.
She added that the Foundation is keen, through this initiative, to provide a safe and stimulating environment that enables children to have an integrated entrepreneurial experience, during which they learn the foundations of planning, marketing, and dealing with the public, in a way that enhances their self-confidence and develops their spirit of initiative and self-reliance from an early age.
She pointed out that Furjan Dubai continues to work in cooperation with its strategic partners to expand the scope of the initiative to include various residential neighborhoods in the emirate, which contributes to consolidating the culture of entrepreneurship as a solid societal value, and enhances the readiness of future generations to face the challenges of the labor market and build their own projects with confidence and efficiency.
For their part, the children participating in the “Little Freej Merchant” initiative expressed their happiness with the opportunity given to them by Furjan Dubai, stressing that participation contributed to communicating their ideas to the public, gaining new practical experiences and applying their creativity on the ground.
Al Furjan Festival is an integrated community experience that combines entertainment, culture, and supporting the creative economy. It constitutes a vital space to enhance rapprochement and convergence among Al Furjan members, and consolidate the values of community solidarity.
The festival provided an interactive platform for individuals and emerging project owners to display their products and ideas and communicate directly with the public in a distinctive festive atmosphere. It also provided its visitors with an integrated shopping and entertainment experience within a program full of artistic, heritage and community events, with the participation of a variety of project owners and restaurants from various parts of Dubai, and a wide variety of products that meet the interests of all segments of society.
