المملكة: Urgent: The Supreme Court calls for investigating the sighting of the Ramadan crescent tomorrow evening, Tuesday

The Supreme Court called on all Muslims throughout the Kingdom to investigate the sighting of the crescent of the month of Ramadan tomorrow evening, Tuesday 8/29/1447 AH – according to the Umm Al-Qura calendar – corresponding to 2/17/2026 AD.

This came in an announcement by the Supreme Court, the text of which follows: Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and may blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon all his family and companions, and after: In view of what It was included in Supreme Court Decision No. (203/AH) dated 7/29/1447 AH that Tuesday 8/1/1447 AH – according to the Umm Al-Qura calendar – corresponding to 1/20/2026 AD, is the beginning of the month of Shaban for the year 1447 AH; The Supreme Court wishes all Muslims throughout the Kingdom to investigate the sighting of the crescent of the blessed month of Ramadan on the evening of Tuesday 8/29/1447 AH – according to the Umm Al-Qura calendar – corresponding to 2/17/2026 AD.

The Supreme Court requests that those who see it with the naked eye, or with binoculars; Notify the nearest court to him and register his testimony there, or contact the nearest center; To help him reach the nearest court.

The Supreme Court hopes that those who have the ability to see will pay attention to this matter, join the committees formed in the regions for this purpose, and calculate the reward and compensation for participating; Because of its cooperation in righteousness and piety, and the benefit to all Muslims. And God is the Grantor of success, and may God’s blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and all his companions.
