Mohammed bin Rashid orders the release of 1,856 inmates on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan

DUBAI, 18 February / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister, may God protect him, in his capacity as Ruler of the Emirate of Dubai, ordered the release of 1,856 inmates from penal and correctional facilities in Dubai, of various nationalities, on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan.

His Excellency Counselor Issam Issa Al Humaidan, Attorney General of the Emirate of Dubai, explained that the release order comes within the framework of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s keenness to give those subject to the pardon an opportunity on this fragrant occasion to review themselves and reverse the mistakes they committed that put them under the penalty of the law and led them to deviate from the right path, so that they return to their families and society as good and useful individuals for themselves, their families and their social environment within a framework of full respect for the law and adherence to its provisions.

His Excellency Counselor Al-Humaidan confirmed that the Public Prosecution in Dubai immediately began taking the necessary measures to implement the release order as quickly as possible, allowing those subject to the order to join their families and bring joy to their hearts in this holy month.
