المملكة: "Media" Signing 9 agreements to qualify national competencies within a program "Media scholarship"


Today, His Excellency the Minister of Information, Mr. Salman bin Youssef Al-Dosari, sponsored the signing of For partnershipbetween the public and private sectors; With the aim of investing in human capital and enhancing the media sector’s contribution to the national economy.

Enhancing media productivity

These agreements reflect the ministry’s transition from a legislative role to an enabling and stimulating role for growth, by linking academic education and practical training with direct employment opportunities, which contributes to raising the productivity of media companies and developing specialized national competencies capable of leading the transformation in Media and creative industries.

Agreements were signed with a number of private sector companies in the media field, including: MBC Group, One Group, Al-Dhahur Media Company, Hawadi Company, Al-Jazeera Company, Selham Company, Laaba Company, Juzr Production Company, and Waves Company.

The program is considered an economic empowerment tool for the sector, as 94 academic seats will be provided distributed among academic and training programs, including: 21 seats for master’s degrees in Britain. America and Spain, 56 seats for bachelor’s degrees in America and Britain, 11 seats for diploma programs in Canada and Spain, and 6 seats allocated for training in America and Spain.

Media as a Support for the Economy

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information for Media Sector Development, Israa Mansour Asiri, confirmed that the media today has become one of the engines of the creative economy, as its value chains extend from production and distribution to technology, platform industry, and marketing; This requires qualified national cadres who possess advanced skills and specialized knowledge in accordance with the highest international standards.

She explained that the media scholarship path allows companies to design scholarship programs that are compatible with their actual employment needs; In order to achieve true alignment between educational outcomes and labor market requirements, and enhance the sector’s sustainability and competitiveness locally and internationally.

The signing of these agreements comes in implementation of the media scholarship path that was launched at the end of the third quarter of 2025 AD, within the framework of supporting the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to diversify the economy, increase the contribution of non-oil sectors, and enhance the Kingdom’s position as a regional center for the media and content industry, as available programs and opportunities will be announced through the accounts of participating companies on social media platforms, And apply for it through the “Safir” platform of the Ministry of Education.
