The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure announced the implementation of the closure of the lane for those coming from the Emirate of Dubai towards the Emirate of Sharjah on Emirates Road, specifically at Bridge No. (7), starting tomorrow, Thursday, February 19, 2026.

This step comes within the framework of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to implement comprehensive development works for Emirates Road and raise the efficiency of the country’s vital road infrastructure, ensuring enhanced traffic flow and the safety of road users.

The Ministry called on drivers and road users to use the available alternative routes to avoid any potential congestion. It also stressed the importance of adhering to traffic signs and instructions in the business district, and adhering to traffic safety rules to ensure the highest levels of safety and smooth movement for all.
