After hours of work… saving a child stuck in a 30-meter-deep well in Raqqa, Syria

The Syrian Civil Defense announced, on Wednesday evening, that it was able to rescue the child who fell into a well near the city of Tabqa in Raqqa Governorate, about 30 meters deep.
In its account on the “X” platform, the Civil Defense wrote: “Bleeding for the Syrians. The Syrian Civil Defense teams in the Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management were able to rescue the child who fell near the city of Tabqa in Raqqa Governorate in a well about 30 meters deep and about 35 centimeters in diameter, after work that lasted more than six hours.”
The teams had received a report about the incident, so they went to the site and immediately began providing the child with oxygen and maintaining communication with him, in parallel with carrying out rescue attempts through the mouth of the well and parallel side drilling work to reach him with the highest levels of safety.
Specialized support teams from Aleppo and Idlib governorates participated in the operation, equipped with drilling equipment, tools, and field cameras, in addition to a rescue element expert in descending operations into wells, which contributed to the success of the mission and the rescue of the child.
