المملكة: 350 volunteers…a scout camp to serve visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque in Ramadan

The Saudi Arabia Scouts Public service camp in Medina during the holy month of Ramadan, with the participation of more than 350 scouts, male and female leaders, within the framework of an integrated field program to serve visitors The Prophet’s Mosque, worshipers and fasting people, and continues until the end of the holy month.
The implementation of the camp comes within a system of coordinated volunteer work in cooperation with the relevant governmental and private agencies, in a way that enhances the integration of roles and unified efforts in organizing crowds and providing guidance and support services within the central area.
Serving the Guests of God
The camp aims to contribute to facilitating the movement of visitors, supporting the approved organizational plans, and benefiting from competencies. Qualified and trained scouts in the field, in addition to consolidating the culture of volunteer work, enhancing the spirit of responsibility and national belonging among young people, and highlighting the civilized image of the nation’s people in the fields of humanitarian service.
Scout sectors from the Ministry of Education, universities, the General Corporation for Technical and Vocational Training, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, and the Ministry of Sports are participating in the camp’s work, in a clear embodiment of the institutional partnership that supports volunteer work.
The participants are also responsible for supporting special security forces. Hajj and Umrah, and security patrols in the central region, in addition to supporting the efforts of the General Authority for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, which contributes to raising the efficiency of services provided to visitors of the Prophet’s Mosque during the Ramadan season.
The association confirmed that the camp represents a practical model for instilling educational values in the souls of the participants, most notably compassion, responsibility, the spirit of cooperation, peace, and volunteer work, in a way that reflects the message of the Scout movement and its national and societal role.
