Flights to New York canceled and modified due to a snow storm

Emirates Airlines announced that a number of its flights to New York City and Newark Airport in the United States were affected as a result of the expected weather conditions and the snow storm hitting the region.
The carrier explained in an update on its website yesterday that the snowstorm led to the cancellation and rescheduling of a number of flights, as part of operational procedures aimed at ensuring the safety of passengers and air crews.
Emirates Airlines called on passengers affected by flight cancellations to contact their travel agencies to rebook, while it asked customers who made their reservations directly through the carrier to contact the company for assistance. The company also confirmed that passengers affected by the rescheduling of flights, especially those with connecting flights through Dubai, will be automatically rebooked until their final destinations, with the need to monitor the status of flights on a regular basis to see the latest schedules.
The carrier asked all passengers to ensure that their contact information is updated through the “Manage Reservation” service to ensure receiving the latest developments.
It is noteworthy that Emirates Airlines topped the global airlines in terms of the volume of operational capacity during the month of February, recording the highest rate of available seats per kilometer on international flights, according to a recent report issued by the OAG Foundation, which specializes in aviation data and analysis of operational performance indicators globally.
Emirates Airlines ranked first among the 20 largest global companies, noting that this was supported by its fleet of A380 and wide-body aircraft spread across a long-range and widespread global network.
