The Holy Capital Municipality carried out its field work during the first five days of The month of Ramadan 1447 AH, by implementing expanded hygiene and disinfection campaigns in various parts of Mecca, especially in the central area that witnesses a high intensity of daily movement; In order to improve The urban landscape and improving the quality of the environment, as part of its efforts to enhance public cleanliness and raise the efficiency of municipal services provided to residents, visitors and pilgrims, within the framework of its approved operational plans for the Ramadan season.
The secretariat explained that the period from 1 to 5 Ramadan witnessed the removal of (3,571.7) tons of waste, distributed into (19,658.4) tons of municipal waste, and (23,913.3) tons of waste. tons of construction and demolition waste, which reflects the magnitude of the daily efforts made to maintain the cleanliness of the city.
The field teams carried out automated sweeping of streets along (3,198,466) kilometers, and washing (440) sites of public sidewalks, in addition to maintaining (752) waste containers, and washing (2,905) containers, which contributes to raising the level of cleanliness and the readiness of facilities in neighborhoods and vital areas.

The secretariat confirmed that these efforts are an extension of its keenness to provide integrated municipal services that keep pace with the aspirations of residents and visitors to the Holy House of God, and contribute to enhancing environmental sustainability, addressing visual distortion, and improving the urban landscape, which reflects positively on the quality of life in the Holy Capital.
