Astronomically… Ramadan is 30 days long and Eid is March 20th

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Astronomy Society, Ibrahim Al Jarwan, expected that the holy month of Ramadan will complete 30 days, and that Eid Al Fitr will be on Friday, March 20, according to astronomical calculations.
Al-Jarwan told Emirates Today that the moon will not be present in the sky on Wednesday, March 18, as the crescent of Shawwal will be born at dawn on Thursday, March 19, at 05:23 AM UAE time, and will remain above the horizon after sunset for approximately 29 minutes.
He expected that there would be agreement on the end of the month of Ramadan and the beginning of the month of Shawwal among the majority of Islamic countries.
