The Head of State and the King of Morocco discuss by telephone the developments taking place in the region and their repercussions on its security and stability

Abu Dhabi, February 28 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received today a phone call from his brother, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, King of the sister Kingdom of Morocco, during which they discussed developments in the escalating situation in the region and its repercussions on regional and international security and stability.

During the call, His Majesty the King of Morocco expressed his country’s condemnation of the blatant Iranian attacks on the territory of the UAE and a number of sister countries, stressing that they represent a dangerous escalation that threatens the security of the region and undermines its stability, and is a violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

For his part, His Highness the Head of State thanked His Majesty King Mohammed VI for Morocco’s position in support of the UAE.

The two sides also stressed the need to immediately stop escalatory actions, give priority to wisdom, and return to dialogue and diplomatic solutions in a way that preserves the security of the region and prevents further escalation.
