During phone calls with a number of officials and foreign ministers, Abdullah bin Zayed discusses the situation in the region and the repercussions of the blatant Iranian missile attacks on the Emirates and sister countries.

Abu Dhabi, 2 March / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed during telephone calls with a number of foreign ministers of brotherly and friendly countries the dangerous developments taking place in the region and their repercussions on regional security and stability, in the wake of the blatant Iranian missile attacks that targeted the UAE and a number of sister countries in the region.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan held telephone discussions with His Excellency Dr. Nawaf Salam, Prime Minister of the Lebanese Republic, His Excellency Edi Rama, Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, His Excellency His Excellency Rubén Ramírez Lezcano, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Paraguay, His Excellency Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Morocco, His Excellency Gideon Saar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel, His Excellency Tom Berendsen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, His Excellency Bakhtiyar Saidov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, His Excellency Kestutis Poderius, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, His Excellency Almedin Konaković, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and His Excellency Awana Silvia Tsoiu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Her Excellency Pablo Cuerno, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of the Republic of Argentina, Her Excellency Helen McEntee, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Defense and Trade of Ireland, Her Excellency Beate Meinel Reisinger, Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria, Her Excellency Peter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Hungary, Her Excellency Jordan Grlić Radman, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Her Excellency Temko Močonski, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Foreign Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia.

The communications discussed the repercussions of the escalation in the region, the serious risks resulting from the expansion of the conflict and the continuation of blatant Iranian attacks and violations, and the resulting undermining of regional and international security, and a threat to the stability of the global economy and energy security.

During phone calls with Their Excellencies the Ministers, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the safety of all residents and visitors in the UAE.

His Highness and His Excellencies the Ministers condemned and strongly denounced the blatant Iranian attacks on the UAE and the countries of the region, stressing the full and legitimate right of all targeted countries to respond to these attacks in a way that guarantees the protection of their sovereignty, security, and the safety of their territories, citizens, and residents.

The ministers also stressed that the current stage requires intensifying regional and international efforts to reduce escalation, exercise the utmost self-restraint, adopt diplomatic solutions and serious and responsible dialogue to overcome the current crisis, and support the aspirations of the peoples of the region towards a future of security, sustainable stability and long-term comprehensive development.
