Your attacks do not reflect any goodwill toward your neighbors

The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Jassim Al Thani, received a phone call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Abbas Araghchi.
During the call, the Iranian Foreign Minister indicated that the Iranian missile attacks were directed at American interests and did not target the State of Qatar.
For his part, the Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs categorically rejected these allegations, stressing that the facts on the ground clearly show that the targeting targeted civilian and residential areas within the State of Qatar, including the vicinity of Hamad International Airport, vital infrastructure, and industrial areas that included liquefied gas production facilities, which constitutes a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the State of Qatar and the principles of international law.
His Excellency pointed out that the attacks were not limited to missiles only, but are still continuing via drones, in addition to aircraft that penetrated Qatari airspace and were confronted valiantly by the Qatari armed forces, stressing that these practices only reflect an escalatory approach on the Iranian side and do not indicate any real desire for calm or solution, but rather seek to harm its neighbors and drag them into a war that is not theirs.
He also called for an immediate cessation of these attacks on countries in the region that have distanced themselves from this war, and for upholding the best interests of their people, stressing that such attacks do not reflect any goodwill on the part of the Iranian side towards its neighbors.
He stressed that the State of Qatar has always tended towards dialogue and diplomacy and dealt in good faith with various parties, but it will confront any attack that affects its sovereignty, security, territorial integrity or national interests, stressing that these attacks cannot go unanswered, in accordance with its inherent right to self-defense in accordance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter.
