Condensed Health facilities in the Kingdom have procedures for Prohibiting photographyinside its facilities and prohibiting the publication of any content documenting patients or work environments without permission, stressing that legal measures will be taken against violators to protect patients’ privacy and confidentiality of information.

Health facilities confirmed through internal circulars that the ban includes all clinical and administrative departments, offices and corridors, in addition to service facilities. Explaining that the ban applies to various means of photography, including Smartphones, personal cameras, or any devices capable of recording video and audio.

Operations details

The directives stressed the prohibition of circulating any content showing patients, workers, or details of operational operations through personal and professional accounts or social media platforms, pointing out that this emphasis comes to prevent any violation of the privacy of the auditors, and to prevent breaches of the confidentiality of health information.

It indicated that photography work for informational, documentary, or professional purposes requires Obtaining prior approvals, noting that granting these permits is subject to the approved controls and procedures, ensuring compliance with the relevant rules and regulations.

The facilities warned that violating these instructions requires taking immediate legal and administrative measures against the violators, calling on all their employees to fully adhere to and maintain the confidentiality of data, to ensure the provision of a safe treatment environment that preserves the dignity of patients and enhances confidence in health services.
