Allowing Tarawih prayers and prayers to be performed… while specifying the duration of prayer

The competent authorities issued a circular addressed to the imams of Kuwaiti mosques allowing Tarawih and Qiyam prayers to be held in all mosques starting tonight, while specifying the duration of performing the prayers, in the context of ensuring the safety of worshipers in light of the current circumstances that the country is going through.

Tarawih prayers are held no later than 20 minutes after the Ishaa prayer. The Qiyam prayer lasts 30 minutes, and begins at 12 and ends at 12:30.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Islamic Affairs canceled Tarawih prayers in mosques after the Iranian missile attacks on the country.
