The Head of State and the Prime Minister of Nepal discuss by telephone the repercussions of the military escalation in the region on regional security and stability

Abu Dhabi, 7 March / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, today received a phone call from Her Excellency Shushila Karki, Prime Minister of the Interim Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. The call addressed the worsening conditions in the region in light of the military escalation it is witnessing and its repercussions on its security and stability.

During the call, the Prime Minister expressed Nepal’s denunciation of the blatant Iranian attacks targeting the lands of the UAE and a number of sister countries in the region, stressing her country’s solidarity with the state in all the measures it takes to preserve its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its lands and citizens.

For his part, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his thanks to Her Excellency the Prime Minister for Nepal’s position in support of the UAE.

During the call, the two sides stressed the need to immediately stop the military escalation, and give priority to dialogue and diplomatic solutions to address various issues, to avoid more crises in the region and to preserve regional and international security and stability.
