Saqr Ghobash.. Zayed’s humanitarian legacy will remain a legacy for the Emirates

Abu Dhabi, 8 March / WAM / His Excellency Saqr Ghobash, Chairman of the Federal National Council, affirmed that the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul” in humanitarian work, will remain an approach to humanitarian work and giving at the world level, with the pioneering initiatives he presented to serve all of humanity, and the foundations and constants he established that deepened the humanitarian dimension in the system of values established in the society and policies of the UAE, and consolidated its image. At home and abroad, as it is a symbol of humanitarian giving, the foundations of which were laid by Zayed Al-Khair with his biography, approach, and character of love for goodness and giving.

His Excellency said that “Zayed Humanitarian Work Day,” which falls on the nineteenth of the holy month of Ramadan every year, is a national and humanitarian occasion in which the UAE and all of humanity recall an immortal human legacy that will remain inspiring to successive generations, and embodies the authentic values ​​that are deeply rooted in the culture of Emirati society, based on giving, solidarity, cooperation, and tolerance among people, making the image of the Emirates bright in the hearts and minds of millions of people around the world.

His Excellency added that the UAE continues to follow the approach and legacy of the founder of the country and the builder of its renaissance, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God have mercy on him,” who paid great attention to humanitarian work until it became an authentic characteristic of the people of the Emirates, an established culture and a way of life deeply rooted in Emirati society.

His Excellency appreciated the directives of the wise leadership in consolidating this humanitarian approach and enhancing its presence in the country’s development process, stressing that this wise vision has established the UAE’s position as a distinguished global model in humanitarian and development work, by supporting developing countries and providing urgent humanitarian aid to those in need everywhere.
