Among the specific projects supervised by the Fund is Sheikh Zayed City, which included Sheikh Zayed Specialized Hospital projects, Sheikh Zayed Secondary School for Girls, Sheikh Zayed Canal – within the South Valley Development Project, and Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Manshiyet Nasser in Egypt, within the framework of 19 projects implemented within the city’s construction project, which contributed to enhancing the efficiency of infrastructure, supporting the process of economic development, and improving the quality of life of residents, in addition to adding about 540 thousand acres to the agricultural area dependent on the waters of the Nile, as well as About providing water to irrigate 100,000 acres within an integrated irrigation system targeting half a million acres, which reflects positively on social and economic development.

At the health sector level, the projects of Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Morocco, Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Mauritania, and the provision of medical equipment to Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Pakistan have contributed to improving the level of health services in those countries by providing the necessary care to the population within the highest levels of quality, and ensuring the readiness of these facilities with the latest modern medical equipment necessary to meet the needs of the population.

Infrastructure, housing and energy projects had a large share of the focus of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, as the projects of the Sheikh Zayed Solar Energy Park in Jordan, the Zayed Residential City and the expansion of the Sheikh Zayed Road in Bahrain, the Sheikh Zayed Road in Mali, the Sheikh Zayed Residential City in Palestine, and other Fund projects played a major role in enhancing service facilities, in addition to their direct impact on the development of other facilities such as schools, mosques and shops in their surroundings, which contributes to providing the necessities of life. Decent and economic development for the residents of these communities.

Considering that education is the basis of economic and social well-being, projects such as the Sheikh Zayed International Academy in Pakistan, the Sheikh Zayed Center for Child Care in Kenya, and Sheikh Zayed University in Afghanistan are scientific edifices that contribute to qualifying students and developing their skills, thus enhancing human capabilities and competencies capable of contributing to the development of their societies in the future.
