Ajman, 9 March / WAM / The charity exhibition match was held yesterday evening under the slogan “90 Minutes of Goodness”, as part of the conclusion of the activities of the Ajman Government Sports Session 2026, in conjunction with Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, amid a remarkable public presence, reflecting the great interaction with the initiative and its humanitarian goals.
This humanitarian initiative comes within the framework of harnessing sports to serve society, as the entire proceeds from the match were allocated to support orphans in the Al Ihsan Charitable Society, in a step that reflects the humanitarian values embodied by Zayed Humanitarian Work Day and consolidates the concept of giving and charitable work in society.
The match witnessed the participation of an elite group of the most prominent football stars in the UAE and the Arab world, in addition to a number of former international players and sports and media figures, while the match was held with the support and sponsorship of a number of supporting bodies.
At the conclusion of the match, the participating players were honored in recognition of their contribution to the success of this humanitarian initiative. His Excellency Ahmed Al-Raisi, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Sports Tournament, and Abdulaziz Abdullah, Director of Events and Tournaments for the tournament, honored the sponsors of the initiative in addition to honoring the participating stars and the orphans who attended the match.
The Supreme Committee organizing the Ajman Government Sports Tournament confirmed that the “90 Minutes of Good” initiative reflects the societal role of sports in supporting humanitarian initiatives, noting that organizing this match in conjunction with Zayed Humanitarian Work Day embodies the values established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul,” in promoting the culture of giving and human solidarity.
She added that the initiative succeeded in combining the humanitarian message with sports fun, stressing that such events contribute to strengthening the spirit of community solidarity and using sports as an effective platform to support charitable work and serve deserving groups.
