ABU DHABI, 11 March / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, received, during a phone call today, the condolences of His Excellency Ayman Al-Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs of the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on the martyrdom of members of the armed forces, Captain Saeed Rashid Hamad Al-Balushi, and First Lieutenant Ali Saleh Ismail Al-Taniji, following the fall of a helicopter due to a technical malfunction during their performance. His Excellency Ayman Al-Safadi expressed his sincere condolences to the UAE, stressing the full solidarity of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan with the UAE in this painful tragedy.
His Excellency also extended his sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the two martyrs, asking God Almighty to shower them with His mercy, and to protect the UAE and its people from all harm.
