Al Ain Municipality enhances inspection campaigns on non-food establishments in preparation for Eid Al Fitr

Al Ain, March 16, 2017 – The Municipality of Al Ain City has intensified its preparations to welcome Eid Al Fitr through an integrated operational plan that includes strengthening health control over non-food establishments, to ensure the provision of a healthy and safe environment for the residents and visitors of Al Ain City.
The municipality confirmed that the inspection teams affiliated with the Health Activities Department will intensify their periodic visits to non-food establishments, to ensure their compliance with health, general and specialized requirements, especially men’s and women’s beauty centres, and clothing dye shops, in addition to monitoring the readiness of amusement rides in commercial centers to receive children during the Eid days.
As part of preparations to increase demand for markets, the municipality has increased the work readiness of the Al Ain Vegetable and Fish Market, which includes the fish, vegetable and meat market. The Public Health Department will work to strengthen the cadres of cleaning workers and provide them with all personal protective supplies and equipment to carry out cleaning and washing work on an ongoing basis within the market.
The municipality has allocated supervisors to follow up on the progress of cleaning work and supervise the work teams, while implementing intensive and comprehensive campaigns before Eid al-Fitr to ensure the preservation of public health and the safety of shoppers, in addition to preserving the urban and aesthetic appearance of the city.
The municipality explained that the public can submit complaints and comments related to the cleanliness of markets and services through the Abu Dhabi government call center at (800555) or through the municipal emergency service at (993), in order to ensure rapid response and enhance the quality of services provided to the public.
These efforts come within the municipality’s plan to raise the readiness of its service sectors during holidays and events, and to strengthen supervisory work in markets and service establishments to ensure compliance with health standards and protect community health.
