$200 billion for the Pentagon is a “small price” in the Iran war

US President Donald Trump considered that the $200 billion he is seeking from Congress to fund the Pentagon is a small price amid the war with Iran.
Trump said he may seek $200 billion in new funding for the Pentagon, calling it a “small price to pay” to ensure the military has everything it needs to fight a war with Iran, but he indicated that this request would include more than just the requirements for a war with Iran.
“We want to be in the best shape we’ve ever been in,” Trump continued from the Oval Office. “It’s a small price to pay to ensure we stay on top.”
Trump did not provide specific details about the uses of this funding, saying only that he wanted to ensure that the military had “enormous amounts of ammunition.” However, he denied that the United States was suffering from a shortage of any type of weapons, stressing that the administration was acting “wisely” in its spending.
He added: “We ask for this for many reasons, which go beyond even what we are talking about regarding Iran. Ammunition in particular, we have a lot of it of high quality, but we preserve it.”
