The clash of giants ignites early in training for the Dubai World Cup for Horses

Dubai, March 24 / WAM / Currently, preparations for the world’s elite horses are continuing at the Meydan Track to participate in the Dubai World Cup evening scheduled for March 28, amid great ambitions and anticipated competition for major titles in various races.

The horse “Meydan” stands out as one of the most prominent candidates to compete for the Dubai World Cup title, after his remarkable victory in the Al Maktoum Challenge “Group 2” during the “Super Saturday” evening, following a successful transition from grassy ground to sand, achieving a major victory with a comfortable margin, which strengthened his chances despite the strength of the expected competition.

Trainer Ed Crisford confirmed the horse’s readiness, noting that the challenge will be difficult in light of the participation of elite sand horses, but Meydan enters the race in high spirits after its recent results.

“Tab Leader” also stands out under the supervision of coach Doug Watson, after his advanced results this season, along with the defending champion “Hit Show”, who is seeking to retain the title, while attention is also directed to the horse “Forever Young” who is aspiring to achieve a new historical achievement.

In the “Dubai Shaima Classic” race, “West Wind Blues” faces a strong challenge against a group of the most prominent international horses, while “Kalandagan” leads the list of candidates, along with “Ethical Diamond” and “Giavelotto”.

In “Dubai Turf”, the hopes of the Japanese horse “Gaya Force” are highlighted to achieve its first category titles, after a series of strong results, at a time when “Qudwa” enters the race in high spirits after achieving two important victories this season.

As for the “Dubai Golden Shaheen”, the veteran horse “Color Up” seeks to appear in a distinctive way despite the difficulty of the competition, while “Midland Money” stands out as one of the promising horses capable of pulling off a surprise.

In the Emirates Derby, attention is directed to the horse “Rammas” after his recent improvement, while the “Al Quoz Sprint” race is witnessing a strong participation, led by “Kafr Up” and “Murban”.

This wide global participation reflects the prestigious position that the UAE occupies in the sport of horse racing, and its ability to attract the best horses, trainers and jockeys, thus enhancing the position of the Dubai World Cup as one of the most important events on the international racing agenda.
