The UAE hosts the release of an American citizen from Afghanistan
Abu Dhabi, March 24 / WAM / The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the UAE will host the process of releasing an American citizen who was imprisoned in Afghanistan and handing him over to the United States of America, in the presence of representatives of the concerned authorities from both countries.
The Ministry expressed its thanks to the United States and Afghanistan for their confidence in the UAE and for choosing it as a site for the release process, which embodies its role as a reliable mediator in supporting diplomatic and humanitarian solutions, and reflects its approach based on promoting dialogue and international cooperation, and providing a supportive environment for constructive talks, pointing out its aspiration that these efforts will contribute to achieving security, stability and prosperity at the regional and international levels.
