"Events Insurance Committee" Confirms readiness to secure Dubai World Cup for Horses events

Dubai, March 27 / WAM / The Dubai Events Insurance Committee has confirmed its preparations, in cooperation with all strategic partners, to secure the events of the Dubai World Cup for Horse Racing in its thirtieth edition in 2026, which will be held at the Meydan International Racecourse tomorrow, Saturday, with the participation of 101 horses from 16 countries around the world. The prize money for its nine rounds is $30.5 million, including $12 million for the main round, the Dubai World Cup.

This came during an “administrative and field” coordination meeting organized by the Dubai Events Insurance Committee and the Dubai Resilience Centre, in cooperation with the Dubai Horse Racing Club, to discuss final preparations for securing the Dubai World Cup for Horse Racing events.

The meeting was held at the Meydan Hotel, in the presence of His Excellency the expert Ahmed Ateeq Bourguiba, Executive Director of the Dubai Resilience Centre, Brigadier General Musabah Saeed Al Ghafli, Director of the General Administration of Bodies, Facilities and Emergency Security and Vice Chairman of the Event Security Committee, Brigadier Obaid bin Yarouf Al Ketbi, Deputy Director of the General Administration of Bodies and Facilities Security and Emergency, and His Excellency Ali Abdul Rahman Al Ali, Member of the Board of Directors and Executive Director of the Dubai Horse Racing Club, along with a number of members of the Event Security Committee from various government agencies. And semi-governmental.

During the meeting, measures to enhance security and safety, and operational preparations for the global event witnessed by millions and broadcast by many international channels and media, were discussed.

His Excellency the expert Ahmed Ateeq Bourguiba, Brigadier General Musabah Saeed Al Ghafli and the attendees listened to a detailed explanation about all the preparations for the Dubai World Cup for Horses, in addition to conducting a field trip at the Meydan Hotel and its track to see the final preparations for the event, which reflects the position of the Emirate of Dubai as a leading destination in the field of horse racing in particular, and the organization of major events in general.

Brigadier General Musabah Saeed Al Ghafli stressed that the meeting comes within the framework of the constant keenness on coordination and cooperation between all strategic partners, to make the events a success at the emirate level, in a way that reflects the distinguished image of the UAE in organizing the most important international events, praising the efforts of all members of the committee at the various administrative, organizational and field levels.

He added that the Dubai World Cup is one of the most prominent events organized by the Emirate of Dubai, due to the large attendance of visitors from inside and outside the country, which requires the members of the Events Insurance Committee to exert their best efforts, capabilities and expertise to secure this global event and produce it at the highest level, directing all members of the committee to prepare well for the event.
