“Safe Dubai” gave me glory twice in 18 years

Trainer Steve Asmussen, who supervises the horse “Magnitude,” which won the 30th Dubai World Cup title the day before yesterday, confirmed that Dubai gave him the opportunity to achieve glory twice over the course of 18 years, after he achieved his first title with the American horse “Curlin” in the 2008 edition.
Asmussen told Emirates Today: “Winning in Dubai has another flavour, especially since I win the title again with an American horse, after winning the title for the first time in the 2008 edition with the horse (Kerlin).”
He explained: “I tried repeatedly to repeat my achievement here in Dubai, before I finally succeeded with (Magnitude), and I cannot describe the joy of victory here in Dubai. This city has witnessed, over the past years, great changes of growth and prosperity, and it seems very safe, and the experience there is incomparable.”
He added: “You should always seize the opportunity when you compete here in Dubai, among the strong community of elite horses that are always seeking to join the golden records for the main race, and for anyone who owns a horse capable of participating in this race, he is certainly experiencing an experience that is difficult to repeat, which is what I succeeded in with (Magnitude) and raised the cup for a new time.”
He continued: “(Magnitude) gave me the opportunity for a new, unforgettable day, and I am proud of the team behind it. It was a wonderful day by all standards, and the horse deserves all the praise after its success in achieving victory against the best horses, especially the Japanese (Forever Young), champion of the (Breders’ Cup Classic) and (Saudi Cup).”
