Equestrian Federation: The Dubai World Cup was a great success on an exceptional evening

Dubai, March 29 / WAM / The Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation confirmed that the 30th edition of the Dubai World Cup yesterday achieved a great success, adding to the series of global successes, with professional organization, the distinguished presence of elite owners, trainers and riders from all over the world, and positive Emirati levels and results.

His Excellency Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, President of the Federation, said that the success of the events embodies the prestigious status of the Dubai World Cup, as a global platform that brings together the world’s cultures in an atmosphere of sporting competition, thus enhancing the sustainability of the UAE’s leadership since its first launch in 1996, and leading the world in this sport.

He explained that the UAE presented to the world yesterday evening a major event whose content goes beyond mere competition, and represents the greatest value in the world of racing, as it has become a global center for horse racing with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him.”

He congratulated Godolphin on winning the Dubai Turf title in the seventh round, and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, on the victory of the horse “Fairy Glen” in the Dubai Gold Cup title in the third round, and to all owners from the UAE for the impressive results and winning first places in a number of rounds, praising the achievement of coach Ahmed bin Harmash and achieving the double. He also praised the high competitiveness of the Emirati horse “Meydan”, owned by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in the main race and its obtaining third place after a strong performance with the elite of international horses.
