"Dubai Electricity" Supports the autism awareness campaign

Dubai, March 30 / WAM / Dubai Electricity and Water Authority supports the twentieth annual autism awareness campaign as a sustainability partner. The Dubai Autism Center is organizing the campaign that focuses on raising community awareness about the importance of preparing inclusive environments for people of determination with autism in public places according to a dynamic, adjustable approach. The campaign aims to go beyond the concept of “formal availability” to achieve real adaptation of environments to suit the individual needs of each individual with autism.

His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, said: “In line with Dubai’s vision of being a city friendly to people of determination and the objectives of the Dubai Social Agenda 33, we are committed to supporting people of determination and empowering them in society, and providing an inclusive and sustainable environment that ensures their effective participation in society on an equal footing with others. We cooperate with our partners to find new and innovative paths that allow people of determination to integrate into society and unleash their abilities and energies. We provide people of determination with “The Dubai Autism Center’s initiatives and campaigns represent an essential element in enriching the experience of people of determination with autism, supporting the work and educational environments to achieve their goals in this field, and mobilizing the efforts of entities friendly to people with autism to expand the horizons of their empowerment and rehabilitation.”

For his part, Mohammed Al Emadi, Director General of the Dubai Autism Center and a member of its Board of Directors, expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, the sustainability partner of the campaign, appreciating its firm and continuous annual support for the annual autism awareness campaign.

Al-Emadi praised the tangible achievements achieved by the Authority in the field of supporting inclusive environments, the most recent of which was that five of its centers obtained “Autism-Friendly Environment” certificates.
