Al Ain team captain Bandar Al Ahbabi leaves “Al Zaeem” with an influential message

The captain of the Al Ain team, Bandar Al Ahbabi, announced his departure from the team, after receiving a letter from his club’s management, indicating that the contract between him and the club would be terminated by mutual consent, days after an interview he conducted with “Emirates Today”, in which he explained that the reason for his absence during the last period was due to his presence in the national service, and that he would sit with the administration to discuss his future.

Al-Ahbabi said in a message on his personal Instagram account: “I received a very sad and touching message in my life, but this is the year of life, and a difficult time for every person who feels this way. A letter from the club stating that it does not need my services in the coming period, and it will be agreed to terminate the contract by mutual consent.”

He added: “Al Ain Club was not just a team for me. Rather, it was my childhood, my first dreams, and the place where I grew up step by step, and where I learned the meaning of commitment, the meaning of the shirt, and the meaning of playing on behalf of a large and great audience.”

He continued: “From the first day I wore the club logo as a child, I dreamed of growing up and representing this entity with pride, and today, as I write these words, I feel that I am bidding farewell to a large part of my life, and not just a club.”

He continued: “Many years passed between training, fatigue, joy, loss, laughter with my colleagues, and looks of pride from my family, all of which were under the name Al Ain Club. I lived here the most beautiful moments of my life, and I learned things that can only be acquired in a place that you love with your heart.”

He added: “The moment of farewell may be difficult, and words may not be able to describe what is inside me, but what I can say is that I have always fought for this slogan, and I strive to live up to the name of Al Ain Club and its great fans.”

He continued: “I thank you, Al Ain fans, for every word of support, for every encouragement, and for every moment in which you made me feel like I was one of you. Your support was my biggest motivation, and this is something I will never forget in my life.”

He continued: “I thank my master, my teacher, my leader, and my inspiration, His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He is the password in my life and my career, and the word “thank you” will not suffice you. May God protect you, sir. I thank Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan for his support and standing with the team, whether small or large, always with his unlimited interest and concern for every player and his eagerness to always make the audience happy. Thank you, sir.

He concluded: “Al Ain Club will remain a part of me no matter what happens, and I will remain proud that I was a player in this club, and even more proud that I started there as a young child and grew up as a leader of this entity.”

It is noteworthy that the player’s contract was to expire in the summer of 2027.
