" Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi" Launches the first initiative stations "It pulsates with its people" In Al-Amrah area

ABU DHABI, 31st March / WAM / The Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi, from the Al Amerah region, launched the first station of the community initiative “Vibrating with Its People”, which presents a series of mobile interactive activities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, from the 10th to the 12th of next April in Al Amerah Park.

The initiative aims to revitalize neighborhoods and transform their public facilities and community markets into vibrant spaces, where children and youth lead their own experiences and projects, with the support of their families and the local community.

This step comes within the framework of the department’s efforts to enhance the quality of life in residential neighborhoods and empower the family as a major partner in community development, coinciding with the Year of the Family 2026.

“Al-Amra Station” represents the first start of a series of stations that will tour a number of residential areas during the year, with the aim of highlighting the energies of the young generation, giving them a practical space for experimentation and creativity, and establishing a culture of community participation that begins at home and extends to the entire neighborhood.

The Al Amra event includes two main platforms carefully designed to meet the needs of different age groups, with a focus on enhancing creativity and entrepreneurship among children and youth and encouraging families to actively participate in empowering their children.

The first platform, “From Our House,” is intended for children between the ages of 3 and 9 years, through which children can display and sell their craft and handmade products that they make themselves.

Activities also include small food projects, such as preparing baked goods and juices, and educational creations that allow children to learn through experience.

These activities are implemented with the support and supervision of their families, which enhances the family’s participation in creating a cooperative experience that consolidates family cohesion and expands to include community cohesion among the residents of the region.

As for the second platform, “Al-Rowad,” it targets the age group from 9 to 21 years. This area allows young people to manage their own commercial kiosks and sell real products or provide services based on their skills such as photography, design, and teaching, and provides the opportunity for young entrepreneurs to display and sell the products of their emerging brands.

In addition, workshops are held on entrepreneurship, life skills, and innovation, giving young people the opportunity to develop their practical skills in an interactive environment.

In this context, His Excellency Eng. Hamad Ali Al Dhaheri, Undersecretary of the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi, said that the ‘vibrating with its people’ initiative represents a new approach in empowering youth starting from the residential neighborhoods themselves, and highlights the role of the family and community members in making an impact, through community activities that reflect the vitality and uniqueness of each region, and confirms that society is vibrant with its people and their initiatives, so that every neighborhood has its platform and every young person has a voice. He stressed that Abu Dhabi places its trust in its children and provides them with a supportive environment that turns their ambitions into Tangible reality.

What distinguishes the “Vibrating with Its People” initiative is that the participants’ role is not limited to attending as visitors, but rather they are the ones who manage the experience themselves. Children and youth prepare their stalls, deal with the residents of the area, and manage their projects themselves, while families and families attend and support them. This initiative creates a living community experience that enhances self-confidence and social responsibility among the younger generations.

For his part, His Excellency Mohammed Hilal Al Balushi, Executive Director of the Social Participation and Empowerment Sector at the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi, explained that this initiative was designed to give young people a real practical experience in entrepreneurship and community participation, in which the individual and the family are active partners in community development, stressing the Department’s keenness to provide real spaces for them to discover their abilities and positive participation that is reflected in their family and community surroundings.

Al Balushi added that the initiative reflects the trend towards activating public facilities and transforming them into vibrant community platforms that embrace creativity, enhance the spirit of belonging, and support the quality of life in residential neighborhoods.

The initiative comes in cooperation with major strategic partners, including the Department of Municipalities and Transport through the Municipal Presence Center by providing public facilities to host the initiative’s activities in addition to communicating with the local community in the regions, the Department of Education and Knowledge – Abu Dhabi, which contributes to attracting students through schools, the Department of Culture and Tourism, the Department of Economic Development, the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, which supports young entrepreneurs, and the Community Contributions Authority “Together,” which contributes to providing volunteers and the necessary funding through social responsibility programs, in addition to a number of entities and institutions.
