The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai announced the opening of the door to expand the licensing of new centers for technical inspection and vehicle registration in three locations in the emirate, including Deira, Bur Dubai, and Mohammed bin Rashid City, in accordance with approved regulatory standards and requirements, allowing existing centers and investors to submit requests to establish centers or open new branches.
The expansion aims to increase the number of service centers and bring vehicle inspection and registration services closer to the population in different regions, in line with the rapid urban and population growth and the expansion of economic activities, and in a way that supports the sustainability of providing efficient licensing services.

The Authority confirmed that the adoption of expanding the scope of eligible areas for licensing new centers comes to meet the needs of the emirate’s population and promote economic growth, in addition to expanding the role of the private sector in developing infrastructure and providing services, in accordance with international best practices in partnerships.

It explained that it will provide the necessary support to new investors in studying applications in accordance with relevant legislation and policies, in a way that enhances the participation of the private sector, increases the efficiency of inspection processes, and improves traffic safety levels.

This expansion comes as part of efforts to develop an integrated infrastructure for vehicle inspection and licensing services, which enhances ease of transportation and raises the quality of services provided to the population.
