Abu Dhabi Police warns against behaviors that endanger the safety of others

Abu Dhabi Police warned of some dangerous behaviors carried out by some individuals, which put their lives and the safety of others at risk, as part of the strategic priority “smart road security,” stressing that opening vehicle doors while driving or filming video clips for the purpose of achieving fame and increasing followers are considered reckless practices that may lead to serious accidents.

She stressed that these actions violate traffic laws and regulations and constitute a direct threat to road users, calling for the need to be responsible and adhere to safe behaviors while driving.

She explained that traffic safety is a shared responsibility, and that the search for fame does not justify endangering lives, noting that the competent authorities will not hesitate to take legal measures against violators. The fine for endangering the lives of others is 2,000 dirhams, with 23 traffic points recorded, and the vehicle impounded for 60 days, in addition to paying 50,000 dirhams to release the impoundment.
