Dubai Chambers is looking to strengthen trade and investment partnerships with the Chinese Council of Trade
DUBAI, April 2, 2017 (WAM) – During a meeting with Li Xiangjing, President of the Chinese Council for the Promotion of International Trade – Beijing, Dubai Chambers discussed ways to enhance strategic partnerships and support the growth of trade and investment movement between Dubai and China.
During the meeting, with the participation of His Excellency Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, Director General of Dubai Chambers, highlighting the development of bilateral work to improve ties between business communities.
The meeting focused on examining prospects for opportunities in sectors of common interest, especially the digital economy, science, healthcare and the industrial sector.
Lootah said that China’s position as Dubai’s largest trading partner reflects the strategic importance gained by the economic relations between Dubai and China, and we are committed to expanding the horizons of cooperation with the Chinese Council for the Promotion of International Trade – Beijing to develop more promising opportunities in a wide range of sectors, especially the digital economy and advanced industries, and we are keen to continue to advance the constructive partnership and joint work to achieve common interests.
Dubai Chambers had concluded a memorandum of understanding with the Chinese Council for the Promotion of International Trade – Beijing, during the activities of the Dubai Business Forum – China, which was organized by Dubai Chambers in Beijing during August 2024, with the aim of strengthening bilateral ties and supporting companies that are members of the Council in establishing and expanding their investments in Dubai, with a focus on supporting the interests of the business community in Dubai and China, in parallel with helping companies operating in Dubai conclude promising partnerships with their counterparts in China, and expand their business in Chinese markets.
