Kuwait bans the sale and trading of “drones” and threatens violators

Kuwaiti Minister of Commerce and Industry, Osama Boodai, issued a ministerial decision prohibiting the sale and trading of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) in all shops and commercial markets “until further notice.”
The ministry said in a statement carried by Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), today, Thursday, that the decision stipulated “the closure of every facility” that violates its provisions and referring it to the competent investigation authorities to take the necessary legal measures against it.
She added that the decision also stipulated “the cancellation of every text or provision” that violates its provisions wherever it is mentioned in any other decision, provided that it is implemented as of the date of its issuance and published in the Official Gazette.
On the third of last March, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior banned aerial photography and the operation of drones permanently until further notice, in light of the current conditions that the country and the region are going through.
